WOFAPS Congress Registration Sponsorship (Low Income Countries)

Registration Form for Low-Income Countries

• This section is only for participants from low-income countries who are under 45 years of age.
• If you would like to apply for the WOFAPS educational grant to have your registration fee waived, please click the button above and complete the application form. This is required in order to be considered for support.

• Limited sponsorship of registration fees for up to 40 delegates will be available through an educational grant provided by WOFAPS.
• The deadline to apply for this grant is 15 August 2025. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.

Criteria for WOFAPS Congress Registration Sponsorship

Professional Background
Pediatric surgeons or allied healthcare professionals working in the field of pediatric surgery.

Financial Need
Candidates must submit a statement of financial need, explaining the circumstances preventing them from affording the registration fee.

Geographic Region
Priority to applicants from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), especially those on the DAC (Development Assistance Committee) list.

Contribution to Pediatric Surgery
Evidence of engagement in clinical work, research, or teaching in pediatric surgery. Preference may be given to those submitting abstracts to the Congress.

Endorsement
A letter of recommendation or endorsement from the head of the department or a senior colleague verifying the applicant’s contribution and need.

WOFAPS Affiliation
Preference to WOFAPS affiliate members.

Previous Support
Applicants who have not previously received WOFAPS or Foundation financial support will be prioritized. They can sign a statement that they have not received any support during the last 3 years.

Commitment to Attend
A brief statement of commitment to attend and benefit from the Congress, and to disseminate the knowledge gained to their local community or institution.

Accommodation

• VAT Included.
• The accommodation fees above, all-inclusive concept and per night prices. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinners, offers of the snack bars and all drinks are included.
• Round-trip shuttle services to the congress hotel will be arranged in accordance with the scientific program schedule.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Congress Secretariat wofaps2025@topkon.com as follows: Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule:

• Until July 30, 2025
  - Full refund of the registration and accommodation fees, minus a 50 EUR administrative charge.
• Between July 31 and September 1, 2025
  - 50% of the registration and accommodation fees will be refunded.
• After September 1, 2025
  - No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after this date.
  - In case of a no-show or early departure, the full amount of the accommodation stay will be charged, and no refund will be provided.
  - Name changes for registration are allowed until October 10, 2025, subject to a handling fee of 30 EUR.
• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to the program and policy if necessary.
• Refunds will be provided up to one month before the end of the congress.
